From Better Governments and Businesses to Better Lives

From Better Governments and Businesses to Better Lives

Digital transformation marks a tremendous shift for global government bodies and corporates. As these institutions embark on smart nation and automation initiatives, the essence of this change penetrates right into the social fabric of the nations and societies, widely affecting the choices and perspectives of general life. Capitalizing on this transformation in mass scale, CrimsonLogic has marked its eminence as a leading global digital government products and services provider. With products designed to cater to government agencies and businesses, CrimsonLogic exhibits excellent cognizance of how their system affects individual lives and the economy as a whole. The services and products profoundly influence government policies that, in turn, create ripples in the society and steers it toward favorable prospects. In addition to attracting the type of businesses desired by the government and driving economic development for their country, the company also determines the type of jobs to be created to meet the demands of the businesses. Nicholas Wee, Chief Architect and Senior Vice President (Product Group) of CrimsonLogic says, “CrimsonLogic in a true sense serves the interconnected and interdependent triangle of government, businesses, and the people.” Offering greater transparencies, efficiencies, and integration between all aspects of each of these entities, CrimsonLogic constantly works for developing governments, flourishing businesses, and enriching lives.

Understanding their clients’ country and culture, organization structure, and political backdrop, the CrimsonLogic team identifies new features and provides further insights into the needs of the government. Most of these requirements tend to be common for all types of countries, regardless of size and wealth. At a broader level, these nations seek for greater transparency, higher productivity, striving to bring increased economic growth and better connection with their people—especially for policy development and direction for their society.

In their pursuit to achieve the same, CrimsonLogic has created Coherence and Phidélity product suite, which have been instrumental in enabling governments and businesses to approach their smart and digital initiatives. Designed to establish a robust digital governance and document security, these products have benefited several governments and corporations across Latin America and the Caribbean, African, Middle Eastern, Southeast Asia, South Asia, as well as oceanic regions. Adopting a consultative approach in their business engagements with clients, the company brings about an advisory role by using their extensive experiences in helping governments to transform their economic landscapes.

    Client Centricity in Business Services

Driving digitalization in government agencies and equipping government officials with a wide range of configurability options, CrimsonLogic offers Coherence. The product covers the areas of business registration, licensing, business services catalog, municipal services, and intra-government information exchange platform.

In the area of business services, Coherence allows business owners to register and apply for licenses that their businesses would require to operate conveniently, through a single smart portal. The business registration and licensing product is an online application used to manage the full lifecycle of business registration services from name search and reservation to certification, compliance, and closure. Once registered, the portal will understand and offer the set of licenses from multiple agencies for that business to operate. With effective business registry and licensing, governments are better enabled to measure tax compliance or avoidance while harnessing the business insights and determining the economic status of the nation. The Coherence tool also significantly benefits business owners by helping them achieve compliance with federal and state laws and administrative requirements, to start their business quickly.

Coherence provides a business-centric environment for investors by breaking the barriers and complexities to invest in any country. With machine learning and AI capabilities, the tool provides various extra licenses and permits needed by an investor when they register their business. Coherence also helps businesses to reach out to other businesses and suppliers in their value chain. The tool has further congregated the positivity of its implementation on the global stage winning international accolades in 2013—1st place in UN Public Service Award 2013 for Trinidad and Tobago BizLink project.

The Coherence platform provides for people-centric municipal services allowing citizens, residents, and visitors to access the services offered by the government. Based on the profile of each person, Coherence determines which government services are needed and when they are needed, after that, posting them onto the person’s timeline to be accessed through the relevant government services. The people services are “pushed” to the individuals, instead of having them search for it. Regardless, the tool still offers a one-stop portal where an individual can look for other government services, such as the application for camping permits, directory of government agencies and their appointment holders, or public feedback and consultation services. Coherence provides a business catalog from its business services product that “pushes” commercial services to individual’s life events.

    Paper still Matters

The tremendous success of Coherence is the very by-product of the digitalization in legacy environments. However, despite the massive adoption of all things digital in the modern corporate realm, hard copies are still significantly relevant and constitute a predominant form of trusted communication and process enabler in international trade, government permits and licenses, and commercial transactions. Owing to a large variety of entities involved in both local and international commerce, with differing technological capabilities, availability of electronic inter-connectivity is not always assured. Because of which, even in the modern digital age, there is a considerable reliance on physical documents. Coming to the case of government organizations, physical paperwork is highly vulnerable to security breaches, which compromises the integrity of the entire agency. CrimsonLogic offers Phidélity as the solution to mitigate this vulnerability of physical documentation. Phidélity is a suite of document security features that protect an organization’s hardcopies from counterfeit, forgery, and information leakage. With advanced and patented security technologies, Phidélity provides a powerful and flexible secure printing solution, using standard desktop printers.

Growing further in the areas of digital governance and document security, CrimsonLogic recognizes more room for enhancing the current features and functionalities of both Coherence and Phidélity in the future. A portion of this development is set to be driven by different areas of government work and their integration with the businesses and individuals. The other part, however, will be influenced by the technologies incorporated by the company. “We see great prospects for both Coherence and Phidélity with technologies such as mobile, IoT, social media and their enhanced capabilities when combined with machine learning and AI. It will provide a greater wealth of insights and foresight through better use of data science,” concludes Nicholas.
