    CrimsonLogic: Digitalizing the Judiciary System

Nicholas Wee Teck Huat,Chief Architect & SVP (Product Group), CrimsonLogicNicholas Wee Teck Huat, Chief Architect & SVP (Product Group)
Governments and judicial bodies around the world are experiencing tremendous technological disruptions while striving to accomplish ‘maximum result with minimum investment’. In the pursuit of achieving this, the global judicial fabric has witnessed a massive adoption of cloud, mobility, and analytics streamlining emerging trends within the space such as virtualization, automation, access to justice, online dispute resolution and fact-based decision. Spearheading this transformation of legacy judicial operations, Singapore-based CrimsonLogic marks its eminence in converting them into high functioning digital and efficient models. Nicholas Wee, Chief Architect and Senior Vice President (Product Group) of CrimsonLogic, says, “Our legal products have innovative features such as outcome simulations, the ability for online mediations, pleas, and settlements that enable cases to be settled without the need for judiciary interventions.”

CrimsonLogic is a trusted partner for government and has worked with multiple judiciaries worldwide. CrimsonLogic’s Chrysalis, is a sophisticated legal product suite of products developed for judiciaries and legal practitioners to achieve digital transformation and improve efficiency and productivity.

Chrysalis-eJudiciary product has significantly optimized and lowered the number of court cases, the costs of the hearing, and time taken for case disposal. It ensures that all filings and submissions are correctly recorded, tracked and audited, and provides unparalleled transparency and visibility to all parties involved in the case, including the members of the public.

Our legal products have innovative features that enable cases to be settled without the need for judiciary interventions

A newly launched product – Chrysalis- PracticeAlly provides a suite of digital practice management services, designed to assist the legal practitioners in working more efficiently with their clients. It facilitates the end-to-end lifecycle of matter management and practice administration, providing IT automation to legal practices and reducing the need for resources to laboriously administer management of matters. Aligned with practice guidelines globally, PracticeAlly keeps track of all communications, and stores relevant materials in an organized manner for easy access and retrieval for both the lawyers and clients.

Growing beyond catering to judicial bodies, for governments who are exploring to embark on a digital transformation journey, CrimsonLogic’s Coherence is a tool that will help drive digitalization within legacy government infrastructures, and equips government officials with an advanced level of configurability options in the digital processes.

Furthermore, being cognizant of the critical documents involved in these vital processes, CrimsonLogic’s Phidélity, serves as a document security product that guards against counterfeit, forgery, and disclosure of hardcopy printouts.

Recalling some of the successful implementations accounted on CrimsonLogic’s achievements across 30 countries, Nicholas shares the company’s endeavors for the Supreme Court of Singapore between the period of 2000 to 2013, where CrimsonLogic’s dexterity led to a tremendous increase in the institution’s efficiency. The case study is accredited to be among the fastest in the world, where cases were heard within three months; with half of the writs filed concluding within six months. Today, the company prides itself a leading Legal Technology Provider, especially for the Singapore judicial system, supporting the clearance rate for all civil and criminal matters for 2015 and 2016 at 96 percent and 97 percent respectively.

Going forward on this trajectory of success, CrimsonLogic plans to continue focusing on their core domains in the products and services for e-government, judiciaries and trade. “We will continue to innovate and expand our business footprint, especially across the emerging markets where we can share our practices and accelerate their digital transformation journey,” concludes Nicholas.
